BGCRE Softball is for EVERYONE!

BGCRE Softball welcomes any and every girl who wants to enjoy playing the great game of softball. This includes girls who have been playing softball for years and girls who are trying softball for the first time.

Our goal is to give EVERYONE an opportunity to participate, learn and have fun. Our in-house spring league is completely inclusive in philosophy, and we follow national Little League rules that dictate standard levels of participation for every player. Our summer Friendship Teams are open to any girl who wants to continue playing softball after the spring season is over, and our Fall Ball program is the same.

That said, keep in mind that EVERYONE also includes girls who are among the most talented and competitive athletes in Redding and Easton. We do not “award” trophies to every girl just for participating.

In the Summer, we aim to select 8U, 9/10, 11/12, and Juniors all-star teams who compete in Connecticut Little League District 1 and other area tournaments. And in the Fall, we emphasize skills development.

Teaching and Learning Skills is Fun!
For all our coaches, the most important objective is to create an experience that allows all girls to have fun playing softball with friends and teammates. We believe that an important part of that objective is helping every player work toward improving as ball players. To that end we have established a set of standard skills for each age division.

Please click the appropriate division for your daughter (listed in the column to the left) to learn more about the Skills Check Lists for each BGCRE Softball Division.

As always, if you have any questions, please send email to .
